Supastition emerged from North Carolina’s hip-hop scene in the early 2000s, quickly earning a reputation as one of indie rap’s most respected MCs. Hailing from Greenville and later making his mark in Charlotte, he built a stellar catalog that has taken him to over 40 states and 13 countries, captivating audiences worldwide. His breakout came with Okayplayer Records’ True Notes Vol. 1 and his collaboration The Williams with Nicolay, setting the stage for a career defined by sharp lyricism and raw authenticity.
With 13+ releases, Supastition has worked with legends like KRS-One, Little Brother, Royce da 5’9”, and Elzhi, while spitting over beats from Grammy-winning producers Jake One, M-Phazes, and !llmind. His acclaimed projects—Chain Letters, Deadline, Gold Standard, Honest Living, and Sacrifice—have solidified his place in hip-hop. Now releasing music independently via his Eavesdrop Music Group, he values creative freedom over industry trends, staying true to his roots with honesty, vulnerability, and passion.

It hasn't even been a week yet and According To... is already on track to be my best-selling and most talked-about project so far. The response has honestly been wild. RJD2 and I knew this album felt special to us while we were making it, but seeing how people are reacting to it really confirms that. It was also the most fun we've both had making a record in the last 10 years.
The CDs and vinyl have been moving and we're doing our best to ship everything out as fast as we can. On Spotify alone the album passed 100k streams in the first week, and about 20k new people are now listening every month. The messages, comments, and feedback have all been amazing to read.
Being connected to RJD2 definitely helped open some doors, but a huge thank you goes to everyone who actually showed up and supported the project. Seeing people post photos of the vinyl and CDs means a lot, especially at a time when physical music really matters.
Seriously, thank you to everyone who listened, shared it with a friend, bought a copy, or even just hit play. That kind of support is what keeps us making music. We don't take it for granted at all.

I’m beyond excited to finally share this news… my next full-length album is out now! It’s a collaborative project with the legendary RJD2. Our new album, According To…, dropped February 27th via RJ’s Electrical Connections and Eavesdrop Music, with vinyl, CD, and digital versions available. This album is nationally distributed by The Orchard which means that physical copies are available at your local record store as well as retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, and others. Together, they merge their distinct styles to deliver an album that feels both familiar and unexpected, pushing creative boundaries while staying rooted in classic hip-hop sensibilities. The album was fully produced by RJD2, with Supastition delivering all vocals. Guest appearances include J-Live, STS, and E. Smitty.
This album will be available on green custom-colored vinyl. The vibrant artwork was designed by Philly artist, Pecue.
